Weras BiTorsion system features the bits with the coloured band and a unique bit holder. The life of the bits that are normally short when machine driven, are dramatically extended through the absorbsion of repetitive, damaging peak loads within the softer torsion zone in the centre of the bit and holder. For the highest performance, series BDC / BTH / BTZ bits with series 897/4R & 895/4B holders should be used. BiTorsion bits last significantly longer than conventional bits. Wera introduced their new Torsion technology in 1989. The service life of bits is greatly extended by diverting the torque peak loads into the Torsion zone in the centre of the bit. Premature wear and tear is avoided. Torsion bits are identified as series TH & TZ.
